RISE UP is excited to bring its Travelling Exhibition to Värska, Setomaa, as part of this year’s Seto Week! The exhibition opening will be accompanied by a performance of the Mar´atsäuk choir. After its opening on the 6th of October, it will stay up at the Cultural Center until Christmas.

About the exhibition: RISE UP commissioned an artist from each of its 5 selected minority/minoritised language communities to create an artwork that communicates a unique message, an image, or a feeling to the viewer. Our five artists were asked the questions: What would you say to your community? What would you like to say to people from outside of your community? Alongside the artwork will be informative panels about each language, where we can come together to learn about each other’s cultures, languages and lived realities. 

All exhibition materials will be available in Seto, Estonian and English.
